Arson Suspect Charged, Arraigned In Historic House Fire

TROY, Ohio —

The first suspect charged in an arson investigation in Troy appeared before a judge in Miami County on Monday morning.

Dominique Jackson, 20, of Troy, is one of five people that police and fire investigators blame for a fire that gutted a piece of Troy history. Jackson is facing charges of arson and burglary.

The judge set Jackson's bond at $100,000. Police said his arrest came Saturday afternoon in connection with the investigation into a Jan. 17 fire that gutted a historic house on West Franklin Street.

The other suspects that include another adult and three juveniles will not actually be arrested, but will be summoned to appear in court later in February to answer to a variety of charges.
