Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine was in Celina Thursday morning to announce a new plan to focus attention on unsolved homicides.

The plan includes listing every cold case in Ohio on the Attorney General’s website and offering Attorney general Bureau of Criminal Investigation expert services, according to a release. The website is OhioAttorneyGeneral.Gov/OhioUnsolvedHomicides.

“This is ultimately an effort to help law enforcement and victims,” said Attorney General DeWine. “Currently, the oldest cold case homicide on the Attorney General’s website dates back to 1964. We hope to bring closure and justice to as many cases as possible so that victims and their families can have justice.”

Ohio has more than 5,000 unsolved homicides, including the murders of Robert and Colleen Grube in Mercer County.
