Authorities: Icy Bridge Blamed For Accident

TIPP CITY, Ohio —

Emergency crews said icy roads and bridges Wednesday morning were to blame for an accident that sent several people to a local hospital.

The multi-vehicle accident happened on the bridge over Interstate 75 in Tipp City.

Authorities said the bridge over I-75 on County Road 25A was covered in a sheet of ice. They said at least 10 vehicles were involved, along with 18 people, most of them Tipp City High School students on the way to school.

Medics took three individuals to Upper Valley Medical Center near Troy. Police in Tipp city continue to investigate the accident.
