Bank Robbery Suspect Cleared Of Charges

DAYTON, Ohio —

Dayton police now said the man they arrested after Wednesday's robbery at the Key Bank downtown is the wrong man.

The robbery happened Wednesday afternoon at the Key Bank in downtown Dayton on Courthouse Square.

Officers said the robber went into the bank on West Second Street, demanded cash, grabbed it and ran.

Police quickly arrested an 18-year-old man who matched the robber's description at the RTA hub on the corner Third and Main streets.

Detectives now say a man arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of robbing a Cincinnati bank is the suspect.

His name has not been released.
