SIDNEY, Shelby Co. —

For the fourth time in two weeks firefighters battled a blaze at a structure in the city of Sidney.

Thursday night firefighters responded to a barn in the 1500 block of South Main Street on the city’s south side.

Firefighters said the barn initially caught fire after hot embers from a trash fire ignited the second floor of the building. Crews extinguished the fire, but were called back to the barn early Friday morning after windy conditions rekindled the blaze, firefighters said.

Firefighters from Sidney, Anna, Lockington and Port Jefferson assisted in the fire fight.
