Bedbug Infestation Gone At Biltmore Towers

DAYTON, Ohio —

Residents of the Biltmore Towers in Dayton woke up in their own beds Monday morning bed bug free.

Last week residents had to move out of the building so exterminators could fumigate for bed bugs.

Officials have been struggling to get rid of the bugs for the past three years.

Residents said they were satisfied with how the situation was handled and they just hope that the bed bugs are gone for good.

Katherine Fox said, "It was like a really good vacation."

"We're glad to be back to a place that cares about people as individuals, " said Fox.

The Biltmore has new guidelines to follow to decrease the chance of another infestation.

They include things like no used furniture, a more thorough check of guests, and periodic bedbug screenings.
