Beware of deer, they too may be confused

By Steve.Baker@CMGOhio.com

Northern Bureau Chief

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —

Watch out for the deer, they too might be confused about the weather like we are.

First, hardly any winter, an early spring with summertime temperatures, and now, a frost warning overnight.

Saturday afternoon a deer leaped to its death into the path of a motorcycle on U.S. Route 36 near Flether in Miami County.

The cycle rider, 33-year-old Steven Landes of Fletcher, suffered a serious head injury. He was not wearing a helmet.

That was the other piece of advice besides watch for the deer from Miami County Deputy Lt. Tom Wheeler, "Wear your helmets."
