TROTWOOD —

One person has been taken to a hospital after a fire in a garage Friday afternoon that started while work was being done on a car.

Two people were working on the car when something ignited the fire in the detached garage in the 4300 block of Freudenberger Ave., the Trotwood fire chief said.

The person who was injured suffered minor injuries, the chief said.

Fire crews were dispatched at about 2:45 p.m. on a report of fire.

The car that was being worked on and another one in the garage were destroyed, said the chief, who estimated the total damage at $30,000.
