DAYTON —

No one was injured and two dogs managed to escape from a burning home on Linden Avenue Sunday night.

The owner of the duplex at 93 Linden Ave. lived on one side of the structure and the other side vacant. That person had just left the property 30 minutes prior to when the fire reportedly started, according to investigators at the scene.

A neighbor told News Center 7 they were repairing a bathroom and noticed the light flickering and could smell burning something burning. They soon evacuated the home.

There was no word on formal damage estimates and a cause of the fire has not been determined.

The case remains under investigation.
