A man was cited for failure to control Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, after he crashed into the exit sign for Harshman Road on Ohio 4.

RIVERSIDE —

The exit sign from Ohio 4 to Harshman Road will have to be replaced after a driver crashed his vehicle into it Thursday night.

The driver, identified at Charles Dyer, was not injured, but will be cited for failure to control a motor vehicle in the crash at approximately 9:20 p.m., according to Riverside police.

Police told News Center 7 the man lost control and hit the sign, which fell on top of Dyer’s Honda Civic.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will be attending to the sign Friday morning, police said.

No alcohol or drugs were suspected, however a light rain was causing some wet road conditions in the Miami Valley.
