By Breaking News Staff

COVINGTON —

Hundreds are without electricity in Covington after a broken overhead electrical wire tripped a distribution circuit and knocked out power.

Miami County fire crews were searching Utility poles around 5:30 a.m. in the area of 5110 North Rangeline Road, just southwest of Covington after they were dispatched on the report of power being out.

952 customers are affected by this outage. A Dayton Power and Light spokesperson said they should have the majority of the customers restored by 7:30 a.m., and the remaining numbers by 8:00 a.m.
