Water boil is in effect for parts of Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE —

A boil water advisory is in effect for some area residents due to a water main break.

The Village of Waynesville reports the break near Lytle Road near Ferry Road at the three way stop.

All residents in Wayne Township that pay their water bills to the Village of Waynesville is on boil advisory until further notice, including the area of Thatcher Hill, Ellis Drive and Franklin road from State Route 73 to Lytle Road only. This does not include the lower half of Waynesville. residents in the areas affected by the boil order should boil water before drinking and cooking for at least three minutes.
