Burglars hit thrift store from the roof

DAYTON —

Burglars gained entry into a thrift store early Saturday morning by way of the roof.

Police were called to St. Luke’s Thrift Store at 2280 North Gettysburg Avenue. They requested help from the fire department so that they could get access to the roof.

On the rooftop, officers found that someone had gained entry to the building.

A member of St. Luke’s told News Center 7 at the scene that some ceiling tiles were damaged when the suspect got inside. The suspect got away with several unnamed items.

Police are continuing their investigation.
