Campaign Under Way For Naming New Dayton High School

DAYTON, Ohio —

Some students who attend a high school in Dayton are pushing for a new name because their high school will be torn down and a new one built.

A new school will replace Colonel White High School where Roth Middle School used to stand. The freshman class is launching a naming campaign for the new school with Thurgood Marshall High School as the new name leading the pack.

The new name would go into effect in 2008 when construction of the new school is expected to be completed.
