BETHEL TWP., Clark Co. —
A woman is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol when she crashed into a porch on West Jefferson Street late Thursday night, deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the 600 block of West Jefferson around 9:15 p.m. on reports of a vehicle striking a house. When authorities arrived they found the vehicle smashed into the porch area of the home, deputies said.
The woman told deputies she was travelling west on West Jefferson when she lost control of the vehicle. During the crash the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center, deputies said.
Deputies said in addition to possibly facing OVI charges, the driver could also face charges for failure to contol.
Damage estimates in the crash were not immediately available.
