Car Smashes Into Grocery Store

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police said no customers were injured Friday when a car smashed into a Dayton grocery store.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. Friday at the Groceryland store near the intersection of Troy and Stanley.

The cashier said she heard a loud crash and then saw shattered bottles, broken boxes and red sauce everywhere.

Officers said a 15-year-old girl wanted to listen to music while her parents were inside the store. They said the car was on and somehow shifted into gear, took off, jumped the curb and smashed into the store.

Police said no one was injured.
