CareFlight Removes 2 From Motorcycle Crash

PREBLE CO., Ohio —

3 people on motorcycles were taken to area hospitals Monday evening after a car drove into their path.

The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 177 and Oxford-Germantown Road at about 6:30 p.m.

The two motorcycles were headed south on State Route 177 when a black car pulled into their path.

"There was no malice or intent," Sgt. Jeff Kramer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. "He just didn't take time to take an extra couple of looks. They would have passed him if he had taken those extra couple looks."

The passenger of one motorcycle was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening head injuries by CareFlight. The operator of that bike was taken to Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind., with non-life threatening injuries.

The operator of the other bike was also take to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, but is expected to survive.

The driver of the car was not injured, but troopers expect charges to be filed.
