MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —

Deputies in Miami County said safety belts saved two women who were involved in a rollover crash Monday morning near the city of Piqua.

According to deputies, a 54-year-old Sidney woman, Della Gilmore, lost control of her SUV on a curve in the 10700 block of County Road 25-A shortly before 9 a.m and slammed into a tree. The vehicle then flipped onto its side.

CareFlight was initially put on standby, but did not respond. The driver and a female passenger were both wearing safety belts and did not sustain serious injuries, deputies said.

Both were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center near Troy by Squad.
