Chase Ends With 3 In Custody

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police in Dayton and Trotwood said three people are in custody after leading officers on a chase from Trotwood into Dayton.

Officers said three men were wanted in connection with a robbery in Trotwood on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim told News Center 7 that she was returning from some errands when she pulled into her business, Mr. Mustang, on Wolf Creek Pike and was robbed by three men.

Trotwood Police Chief Quincy Pope said that the woman then went inside and called police. Officers then spotted the vehicle, which led them on a 20-minute chase.

Police said the men led officers on a pursuit into west Dayton. Officers said the men tossed two guns during the chase near the area of Decker and Melbourne in Dayton.

Investigators said stop sticks were used to flatten the tires. The driver continued to run on the rims of the tires until the got out and ran at Gettysburg Avenue and Melbourne, where the men were arrested.

The driver has been identified as 18-year-old Jamarcus Brown. Police said the other two me were juveniles.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office assisted in the pursuit.
