DAYTON —

A minivan collided with a Dayton school bus Tuesday afternoon, sending three students to the hospital.

Emergency crews responded at approximately 4:30 p.m. to the intersection of West Monument Avenue and Lawrence Street.

About 20 students from Kemp Elementary were on their way home when the crash occurred.

Three students were treated by medics and taken to the hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries.

Dayton schools spokeswoman Jill Moberly said another bus was used to take the remaining students to their homes.

Moberly said a school safety officer responded to the scene. She said the bus driver is not expected to be cited.
