Children have reason to celebrate National Adoption Day

DAYTON —

Twelve children celebrated National Adoption Day Friday by getting new homes.

Montgomery County Probate Judge Alice O. McCollum finalized the adoption of 12 children, ranging in age from six months to 15-years-old.

Montgomery County has over 700 children currently living in foster care, and leaders add that more are being added each year. They said many of the children waiting for adoption are part of large sibling groups.
