Code 99 Dropped After Morning Shooting

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police in Dayton dropped a code 99 Saturday morning meaning an officer is in trouble after a shooting in Dayton.

Officers were called to Mary Avenue at about 9 a.m., where they said they found a man in the road who had been shot in the leg.

Emergency workers took the man to Good Samaritan Hospital. He is expected to be OK.

At this time, it is unknown why the Code 99 was issued. However, police said no officers were injured.
