Convicted Sheriff Employee Faces More Charges

DAYTON, Ohio —

A former employee of the Montgomery County sheriff, convicted of theft, is now facing more legal problems.

Paulette Weatherford, who worked as a bookkeeper for the sheriff’s office, was found guilty of stealing $1,300 from the department.

Ohio Auditor Betty Montgomery said Weatherford could face more charges. She said an audit revealed another $9,000 was allegedly stolen by Weatherford.
