Staff Report

BUTLER TWP., Ohio —

A crash involving a semitrailer and at least one other vehicle caused traffic headaches near the Benchwood Road exit on northbound Interstate 75 overnight.

The semi, which was carrying beer, ended up overturned after an SUV wrecked into its under carriage around 9:30 p.m. last night.  Portions of the interstate were closed down for more than seven hours while crews worked to pull the semi upright.

According to police at the scene, the male driver of the Chevy Suburban sustained minor injuries, while the female driver of the truck was not injured.

Police have not determined who is at fault, but said the semi driver claimed the SUV swerved into the side of her truck.

The crash does not appear to be weather related.
