Crash On I-75 Shuts Down Highway Overnight

DAYTON, Ohio —

Authorities said a 2-car accident on I-75 north of Dayton, injured 3 people and shut down the highway for several hours overnight.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Benchwood Road shortly after 11:00 p.m. Friday.

Police said one driver couldn't slow down for a construction zone and another driver, following too close, hit him from behind.

The collision sent one car flipping over on its top.

Four people were involved and three of them went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was back open before daylight.
