Greenville bank robber flees empty handed

GREENVILLE, Ohio —

On Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:29am, officers of the Greenville Police
Department were dispatched to Members Choice Credit Union, 725 Pine St., Greenville, on a robbery.

Employees advised that a white male estimated in his 40's wearing a
sock hat, sunglasses, blue jeans, and a button white checkered shirt with yellow and gray
stripes entered the bank demanding money from a teller.

The suspect had white tube socks pulled up to his elbow and implied he had a firearm. The suspect was carrying a
white in color bag. The suspect was described as having dark hair with gray showing.

The suspect left the bank without receiving any money and fled on foot northbound from
the bank. "The suspect was described as having a limp,"  said Greenville Police Detecive Eric Roberts.

The case is still under investigation. If anyone has information on suspect's
identity please contact Detective Roberts of the Greenville Police Department at 937-
548-1103.
