SILVERCREEK, Greene County —

A 27-year-old woman was taken to a hospital Friday night after she rolled her car when she apparently lost control of it and over-corrected along Jasper Road.

According to Trooper Jennifer Fouty of the Ohio Highway Patrol, the woman’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia.

Fouty said rescue crews were called to Jasper Road, near the intersection with Irvin and Parker roads and south of Jamestown, at about 8:50 p.m. on a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.

A preliminary investigation reveals that the woman may have been driving too fast for her ability on roads made slick by off-and-on snow showers, Fouty said.

The car, believed to be a Volkswagen Jetta, went off the right side of the road and came to rest in a field after it rolled.

The woman was cited for failure to control a motor vehicle, Fouty said.
