A passenger in a pickup truck was taken to a hospital following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night on Stanley Avenue.

A female driving a silver Chevrolet Cavalier went left of center for unknown reasons and sideswiped a Chevy pickup near the Plaza Motel, 1728 Stanley Ave., at about 8:45 p.m., Dayton police Officer Brandon Cartee said.

Neither driver was injured, he said, but the male passenger in the truck was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, the officer said. That man’s condition was not immediately known.

Both of the men in the truck were believed to be in their 40s; The age of the female was not available.

She did not give police an explanation for why she crossed the center line, said Cartee, who noted she would be given a traffic citation.
