DAYTON —
A woman allegedly tried to escape from police custody while she was being arrested for disorderly conduct early Thursday morning.
Chastity Arrone, 30, is being held in the Montgomery County Jail pending formal charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and felony attempted escape.
According to a police report, Arrone came home from a club at about 2:15 a.m. and began arguing with her roommate.
The other woman suffered scratches on her face and someone called police.
The roommate agreed to just let the issue drop and started gathering up her belongings to leave, according to the report. Arrone was standing around being disorderly and refused when police asked her to go inside and stop using foul language.
She was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, but once in handcuffs she said she was going to be sick and was allowed to stand outside of the police cruiser, according to the report.
That’s when she was able to raise her arms over her head so the handcuffs were in the front her.
She was placed back into handcuffs and into the back of a police cruiser with a seatbelt on. She once again was able to get her hands in the front of her and unbuckled the seatbelt, according to the report. She was then told she was going to be arrested on the additional charges.
