SPRINGFIELD —
A Springfield man was arrested Wednesday after striking the mother of his children at a local hotel.
Police said Heather D. Cardosi, 32, reported that she had been staying at the Super Motel 8, 2 W. Leffel Lane, with the father of her children, 28-year-old Justin Matt Glodek, according to a Springfield Police Division incident report.
Cardosi reported that Glodek assaulted her after she went down the hall to get ice. She said he was upset because she had taken too long.
The victim reported that she was thrown onto the bed and repeatedly struck about her head and body. The victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment of facial injuries, according to the report.
Glodek posted bond and was released from the Clark County Jail, where he had been detained on suspicion of assault and domestic violence, according to the police report.
