WEST CARROLLTON —

Police are looking for a man who made threats to kill his roommates.

The man called the WHIO-TV newsroom just after 3:30 p.m. today to say his cousins had moved into his home and wouldn’t leave. He said he was going to hurt them.

The man told the reporter who answered the phone he had two people hostage at 12 E. Main St., Apt. A. He said he was outside, armed with a handgun. He also said he had called police prior to calling the newsroom.

When officers arrived, they used a crow bar to open the door and gain access to the home. No one was inside.

The man later called police to tell them he had gone to a local hospital. They were at the apartment around 4 p.m. interviewing neighbors.

The man will likely be cited for inducing panic, police said.
