Man reports being hit, robbed downtown

By Breaking News Staff

DAYTON —

A man walking to catch a bus downtown Sunday morning said he was hit and robbed by two men less than a block from the RTA hub.

The victim told police he was walking through the alley between St. Clair and Jefferson streets at about 12:30 a.m. When he got to the Price Stores parking lot he felt something hit him in the right hip and upper thigh area, knocking him to the ground, he said.

According to a Dayton Police incident report, two men demanded money from the victim and took his wallet with $300 in it.

He wasn’t able to give a good description of either man. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
