Man robbed of rent money at ATM

DAYTON —

A 24-year-old man was robbed of $400 Monday that he was going to use to pay rent, according to a Dayton Police report.

The victim said he walked to the Chase bank location at 2000 E. Third St. to use the ATM at about 2 a.m. He withdrew $400 to pay rent.

According to the report, he was walking down the alley between Third and Fourth streets when a male wearing all black and pantyhose on his face displayed a handgun and said, “Give me all the cash.”

The victim said he handed over the $400 and the suspect took off on foot southbound and then ran east on Fourth Street.
