Office equipment taken from overnight break-in

By Breaking News Staff

DAYTON —

A computer and fax machine were reported stolen from Dayton Manor sometime early Saturday.

Just after 8:30am, Dayton police responded to a reported break-in at Dayton Manor, 652 Superior Ave. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who reported seeing a window out at the rear of the office area upon arriving to work around 8am.

The employee told officers that a fax machine and computer had been taken from the office sometime overnight. Employees on duty in the area overnight commented that they were not aware of anyone breaking into the office area.

An office chair was used to gain height in entering through the window and foot prints were imprinted on the chair seat.

The incident is under investigation.
