DAYTON —

Police got a tip Tuesday at about 4 p.m. that a man wanted on several warrants was at a house on East Third Street and that he may be selling drugs.

Richard Deitz, 52, was wanted for disorderly conduct and a traffic violation by Huber Heights police and by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation.

When police went the address on East Third, one officer knocked on the front door while another officer went around to the back yard and Deitz was observed quietly sneaking out the back door, according to a police report.

He was arrested and police found a pill bottle in his pocket that he said was his “medicine”.

There were several different pills in the bottle and .72 grams of heroin.

Police added several misdemeanor and a felony drug charges to Deitz’s warrants and booked him into the Montgomery County Jail.
