RIVERSIDE —

The man suspected of robbing the Brookville National Bank this week has been captured at a hotel where he was holed up with his brother.

Police descended on the Microtel Inn and Suites, 4500 Linden Ave., at about 10:40 p.m. when a Riverside police officer met Logan Minke, 45, and his brother outside the hotel, and then reported that he had just arrested the suspected robber.

The arrest was part of the investigation into the robbery of the Brookville National Bank, 225 W. Upper Lewisburg Salem Road, late Wednesday afternoon, Brookville police Capt. Tom Simon said. That investigation, performed with the help of Riverside police and included tips from sources, led to the Microtel.

Minke, his brother and a large amount of money believed to be from the bank were found at the hotel, Simon said.

In the robbery, the suspect showed a teller a note. The teller followed the request and the robber, who was wearing the sweatshirt and a black hat, walked out with an undetermined amount of cash and headed toward a wooded area near Ridge Road and Interstate 70.

According to emergency police/radio dispatch communications, police believed the man was carrying the cash in a plastic shopping bag.

There was one customer in the bank, Simon said, but no one was hurt. No weapon was shown, the captain said.
