BEAVERCREEK, Ohio —

With less than a week to go until Christmas, shoppers are hurrying to buy presents for everyone on their lists.

"We are trying to finish our shopping and we're kind of behind," Monica Sollmann said. "Yeah, I'm not sure we're going to get finished today."

Some shoppers say they've waited to buy gift because they're just now fitting it into their schedules, but others plan to save shopping for the last minute.

"For me it's a financial thing where times are tough this year, so I'm waiting until the last minute to do Christmas shopping. Really, the sales are right now. If you wait until the last minute, you're going to find good deals," Sara Collier said.

Many stores wait until just before the holidays to have their biggest sales of the season.
