XENIA, Ohio —

Xenia police have spent five days looking for missing mother Tiffany Tehan and Tre Hutcherson, who was considered a person of interest in her disappearance.

The two were found safe Thursday morning in Miami Beach, Florida, after local and national law enforcement agencies spent days sorting through thousands of tips.

David Tehan, Tiffany's husband, talked to the media at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and thanked everyone for their help in locating his wife. "Thank you all for the help. The role the media played was exceptional. And, the Xenia Police Department played an excellent role in finding Tiffany safe," said Tehan.

David Tehan went on to say that is he asking for the public's respect into their private matters as he and Tiffany move forward with their lives.

"She may have made some mistakes, but everyone does," David Tehan said.

Capt. Scott Anger said, "In cooperation with Patterson Park Church, Kettering Police, Greene County Sheriff's Office and the FBI, Tiffany Tehan was found safe."

Anger said great team work between all the agencies involved led to her discovery. He said, "Our goal was to find her safe and that is a promise that we kept to her family."

Investigators said Tehan, 31, was in contact with her family Thursday morning and she is no longer considered in any potential danger.

Tehan was reported missing by her husband on Saturday night after she failed to return home from a shopping trip to buy clothes for her 1-year-old daughter.

News Center 7 also spoke by telephone with Sgt. Wayne Jones of the Miami Beach Police Department. Jones said his department was given some information about a vehicle and through surveillance work, the vehicle was spotted on Wednesday night and pulled over.

Jones said Tehan and Hutcherson were together in the vehicle and interviewed separately. He said Tehan indicated that she voluntarily went to Florida with Hutcherson.

According to Jones, Tehan immediately called her father and told him that she was safe and that she wanted to come home. Jones said Tehan and Hutcherson were staying at the International Inn, which is a low-budget motel.

Tiffnay's family members said they do not know when she is coming home but they do hope that she comes home soon.

Tre Hutcherson's wife declined comment at her Dayton home Thursday morning.

Xenia police said over 200 hours of police overtime were spent on the missing mom case and it is possible that Tiffany Tehan could face charges.
