Dayton Homeowner Startled By Intruder

DAYTON, Ohio —

A couple in Dayton learned it is a good idea to lock up even when they are still at home.

Authorities said the couple was sitting on their front porch on Kingsview Avenue in Dayton on Thursday when a man rode by on a bicycle.

Officers said the woman who lived in the home went back inside the house and caught the same man rummaging through a closet. Police said the man pushed the woman down and ran out of the home.

The homeowner said the man did not take anything, but she was upset that it happened.

Police continue to search for the man who entered the home. Authorities said several similar break-ins happened last week in Riverside.
