Dayton Man Captured Following High-Speed Pursuit

TROY, Ohio —

A Dayton teen, accused of leading troopers on a 20-minute high-speed pursuit early Friday morning in Miami County, appeared in court.

Jaron Brooks, 19, was charged with felony fleeing and driving with a suspended license. His bond was set at $20,000.

The Ohio State Patrol said the chase started on Interstate 75 in Tipp City and went through Troy, south on Route 202 and ended with the vehicle’s tire flattened near Huber Heights.

Investigators said a trooper was attempting to stop Brooks for speeding when he fled.
