December kicks off warmly

MIAMI VALLEY —

December is starting off on a warm note, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Erica Collura.

“Normal highs are around 44 and normal low around 29 for this time of year” she said. “High today will reach the upper 50s and near 60 in a few spots.”

Collura said that mostly cloudy skies will get cloudier tonight as a weak cold front arrives Sunday.

“We will stay mild tonight; low near 50” she said. “Tomorrow, just some scattered showers are possible.”

Collura added that the rain will start as early as the morning, mainly in the northwest. It will linger through Sunday afternoon.

For Monday morning, Collura said that there is a slight, slight chance of a light lingering shower. Otherwise, she said that clouds will hang around. But highs will be in the mid and maybe even the upper 60s if the sun decides to shine.

She said there is a better chance for much of the Miami Valley to get measurable rain Tuesday.

Wednesday, she said, will cool down with temperatures closer to the normal high of 41.
