DAYTON —

A duplex in the 4500 block of Elliot Avenue caught fire early Sunday and neighbors said it’s happened more than once.

Firefighters responded to the building around 6:20 a.m. on reports that flames were coming from the house.

When firefighters arrived they found flames coming from one of the sides of the building, according to reports.

The duplex was vacant and no injuries were reported.

Neighbors said they noticed several days ago, the door to the building had been removed and it appeared someone may have been preparing to rehabilitate the structure. They also said the same building caught fire not long ago.

The fire is considered suspicious and an investigator was called to the scene to help determine a cause.
