JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP —

A worker suffered a gunshot wound Sunday night in a robbery at a drive-thru.

Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies said that there were two employees inside the Drexel Drive-Thru at 5474 West Third Street just after 8:30 p.m.

Investigators said a man came inside demanding money. The employees would not comply, and the suspect then shot one of them. That employee was hit in the upper arm area, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect took off on foot.

Deputies called in a K-9, but it was not able to get a scent. The suspect remains at large.

Deputies are now reviewing surveillance video from the drive-thru.
