Fake ID's on the rise in the Miami Valley

DAYTON, Ohio —

Bar workers in the Miami Valley are taking a closer look at identification cards that are coming through their doors after police have seen an increase in very realistic-looking fake licenses that have shown up.

Dayton police said they have a stack of fake ID's that underage kids are buying out of China. They look very similar to a real driver's license.

Major Larry Faulkner said, "We're very much afraid that they're going to drink too much, that they are going to go driving, crash and kill innocent people as well as themselves."

Police said the ID's cost about $100 each. If caught with a fake ID, it could mean big fines and even jail time.
