Related

An empty lot has been transformed into a corner of hope, giving homeless and underprivileged families a place to play in Springfield.

Thursday , a new playground was dedicated in the 500 block of West High Street.

It was made possible by over $200,000 in donations from local businesses and dozens of volunteers who wanted to give back to the community.

Hope Corner is the newest addition to the Interfaith Hospitality Network and Ark West in Springfield.

Forty companies and more than 100 volunteers donated time, money and equipment.

Hope Corner has security cameras and volunteers on hand to watch the kids and make sure it is a safe environment.
