Final Goodbye At Dayton School

DAYTON, Ohio —

A Dayton elementary school is ending its school year with a final goodbye.

Friends, current and former staff members, students and alumni of Loos Elementary School gathered there Saturday for a farewell celebration.

The school, which has been on Wampler Ave. for 73 years, will be demolished at the end of the year.

Visitors toured the building, enjoyed free refreshments and shared memories.

Students also took down the flag for the last time and presented it to the principal.

Students from Loos Elementary will be going to 19 different schools in the fall.
