Find Cash In Your Closet

WAYNE CO., Indiana —

The Just Between Friends event kicks off this week at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.

It's a new way for hundreds of local families to find "cash in their closet" by selling the items their children have outgrown.

You can set your own price and create your own tags using an easy, online bar code system. Organizers expect many Dayton area families will attend.

You can also save money on everything you need for your children. All of the money stays in the local economy - with most of it going into the pockets of local families.

We have seen a big increase as the recession has many families searching for ways to make ends meet. The National Association of Resale and Thrift Shops reports that sales at second hand shops and consignment are up 30 percent in 2009 compared with 2008.

The event kicks off this week. Here is the schedule:

October 1: 9am – 3pm Set-up, 5pm – 8pm Consignor Drop Off October 2: 9am – 3pm Consignor Drop Off, 4pm – 8pm Presale (great video and interviews) October 3: 9am – 6pm – Open to the public October 4: 9am – 3pm – 50% off day - Open to the public

Place: Wayne County Fairgrounds
