By Staff Staff

LEBANON —

Fire crews were sent to a funeral home Tuesday afternoon where a paint crew had been working on the exterior of the building.

Crews were dispatched to Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, 329 East Mulberry St., at about 2:30 p.m. on a report of a fire, Lebanon Fire Capt. Krista Wyatt said.

There was no fire when units arrived, she said, but smoldering insulation inside the walls.

Wyatt said a crew of painters had been using torches to remove paint on the outside of the building.

“We pulled some siding off to get to the smoldering insulation,” she said.

Turtlecreek Twp. provided mutual aid as a precaution in case flames began to spread inside the walls.
