Twenty people were evacuated from a Beavercreek apartment building Monday morning after a balcony caught on fire.

BEAVERCREEK —

Firefighters responded to an early-morning apartment fire at 3548 Onyx Circle Monday.

The fire was on an upper level apartment balcony. It caused outside damage to that apartment.

Twenty people were evacuated, and no one was hurt.

Everyone was allowed back inside after the fire was extinguished. The resident of the damaged apartment will have to find temporary shelter.

The cause remains under investigation.
