SIDNEY, Ohio —

The first of two Sidney men charged in connection with a gas station robbery earlier this month in Sidney appeared before a judge Wednesday morning.

Shane Skeens, 38, faces a charge of complicity to aggravated robbery. Police said he confessed to driving the vehicle in the robbery.

The robbery happened on Oct. 21 at the Speedway station that is located at North and Brooklyn streets in Sidney.

The county prosecutor has asked for a high bond in the case.

Early on Wednesday morning in a barn near Anna, the second suspect, 36-year-old Anthony Pellman, was arrested. He is accused of pulling a rifle on the clerk at the gas station.

Pellman is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a charge of aggravated robbery.
